Home Made Healthy Ice Cream for Dogs

Puppies are like family members to us at Uber Appliance, we love our pit bull mix Winnie! she's a cute, happy, life loving puppy, She melts our hearts. When the summer hits though and we are going through a scorcher, nothing cools better than a nice cold ice cream and we love to share with win win when we can.  We came up with a couple of puppy friendly ice cream recipes so that our furry friend can enjoy and cool down with us on hot summer afternoons. These home made organic healthy dog ice cream recipes are not only delicious for your pup but they are also nutritious and most of all home made so we know all the ingredients are pure and healthy. We make use of a lot of organic peanut butter, dog friendly fruits like banana, pumpkin, blueberries, cherries and apples!

1- Peanut butter banana Dog Ice cream

Peanut butter banana dog ice cream

  • two table spoons of natural organic peanut butter
  • 1 frozen peeled banana
  • two table spoons of natural greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup of blueberries

Let your frozen banana thaw and cut it into medium size chunks, mix it with the natural peanut butter and place into the Sorbet Maker Chute and push down with the feed tube. You can add a little bit of greek yogurt for a soft serve consistency.  Serve with thawed berries and berry juice on top for garnish!

2- Peanut butter Pumpkin Dog Ice Cream

  • two table spoons of natural organic peanut butter
  • 1 cup cut up frozen pumpkin
  • two table spoons of natural greek yogurt

Let your frozen pumpkin thaw and cut it into medium size chunks, mix it with the natural peanut butter and place into the Sorbet Maker Chute and push down with the feed tube. You can add a little bit of greek yogurt for a soft serve consistency.  

3- Cherry and Apple Dog Ice Cream

  • 1 Frozen cut up apple
  • 1/4 cup frozen cherries
  • two table spoons of natural greek yogurt

Let your frozen apple and cherries thaw and cut the apple into medium size chunks, place the apple chunks and frozen cherries into the Sorbet Maker Chute and push down with the feed tube. You can add a little bit of greek yogurt for a soft serve consistency. you can also put them into the popsicle mold then freeze to make Doggy ice cream popsicles, this makes it easier to make one batch and keep in the freezer for later.
